You have to search for what applies to you. If we search "government grants for homeless shelters" we get this description.
Government grants for homeless shelters are primarily distributed through federal programs managed by HUD, FEMA, and HHS, often flowing down to state and local levels. Key opportunities include the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)Continuum of Care (CoC) Program, and the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP).
